It stops dampness from seeping through the brickwork and helps keep the heat in. If your current roughcast is cracking or falling off, it is best to get it sorted before the weather does real damage to the structure of your home.

It’s easy to forget about the chimney until something goes wrong. High winds and frost can perish the mortar between the bricks, making the stack unstable. We can repoint the brickwork, fix the lead flashing around the base, or rebuild the stack if it becomes dangerous. If you do not use the chimney anymore, we can even remove it and slate over the gap.
